Privacy Statement

Wissel GmbH takes the protection of your personal data seriously and complies with the legal provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the Federal Data Protection Act (“BDSG”) for the processing of personal data. In the following, we would like to inform you in accordance with the GDPR when and for what purposes personal data is processed on our websites.

1. What are personal data?

   According to Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR, personal data are all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
2. Who is responsible for your data?

   The responsible party for the processing of your personal data on our websites is Wissel GmbH, Haagstraße 43, 63776 Mömbris.
3. Your Rights
   With regard to the processing of your personal data, you can assert the following rights against us:

   • Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR),
   • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) and/or erasure, including the “right to be forgotten” (Art. 17 GDPR),
   • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),

   • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 (1) GDPR) and in particular the right to object to processing for direct marketing purposes (Art. 21 (2) GDPR),
   • Right to data portability (Art. 20 (1) GDPR).

4. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
If you have given your consent to the processing of your data when visiting the website, you can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. If we base the processing of your personal data on a balance of interests, you can object to the processing (Art. 21 (1) GDPR). This is the case if the processing is not necessary in particular for the performance of a contract with you, which is explained by us in the following description of each case. If you object, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we have done. In the event of your justified objection, we will review the situation and either cease or adapt the data processing or show you our compelling legitimate grounds for continuing the processing. Regardless of this, you can object to the processing of your personal data for advertising and data analysis purposes at any time without giving reasons (Art. 21 (2) GDPR).
5. Processing of personal data when visiting our websites
   • Use of cookies on our websites
     What are cookies?
     Cookies are small files that are stored on your device and save certain settings and data to exchange with our systems or the systems of our service providers via your web browser. There are two different types of cookies: session ID cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored on your device for a longer period.

You can delete stored cookies in your browser settings and disable the future storage of cookies. List of cookies:
   • woocommerce_cart_hash (session): Helps WooCommerce recognize when the contents/data of the cart changes. 
   • woocommerce_items_in_cart (session): Helps WooCommerce recognize when the contents/data of the cart changes. 
   • wp_woocommerce_session_ (2 days): Contains a unique code for each customer, so it knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. woocommerce_recently_viewed (session): Enables the functionality of the “Recently Viewed” widget for products. 
   • store_notice[notice id] (session): Allows customers to close (dismiss) the shop notice. 
   • wordpress_logged_in_: It serves to store the logged-in status of a user so that they are automatically recognized as logged in when they visit other pages on the website.
   • wordpress_test_cookie (session): Checks whether the browser has cookies enabled.
6. Processing of personal data when visiting our websites
   Personal data are always processed on our websites when you enter personal details on one of the contact forms provided. This data, as well as the content of your contact, will be forwarded to the responsible contact person at Wissel GmbH, who will use your data solely for processing your request for the purposes outlined below (for example, to our customer service for inquiries about our products).

This processing of your personal data is related to the fulfillment of a contract with you or to carry out pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR). Further processing does not take place. Unless otherwise specified below, your data will be stored until the purpose of processing is achieved.
7. Are your data shared with third parties?
   Your personal data will generally not be shared with third parties.
However, based on the GDPR, the BDSG-new, and possibly other relevant legal regulations, personal data may be shared if we are legally obligated to do so (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. c GDPR).
8. How are your data secured?
   Wissel GmbH protects your data through technical and organizational measures against unauthorized access or loss. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
